We are thrilled to announce our annual charity event, “Operation Backpack.” This initiative focuses on empowering our youth by ensuring that children in need are equipped with the school supplies necessary for a successful start to the school year.

How You Can Help:
Join us in making a difference by donating new school supplies. Items such as backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons, and other essential supplies can help prepare children for their academic journey ahead. Your generosity can lighten the burden for families and help foster a love for learning.

Backpack Distribution Event:
Come together with us at Rajanee Thai Haleiwa for our special backpack distribution event, where we will directly provide the collected supplies to children in our community. This event is an opportunity for families to experience the joy of preparation as they get ready for the upcoming school year.

I’m so excited for our upcoming event together! I can already tell it’s going to be a wonderful success as we bring together our local community and organizations to build a stronger, greener future for the North Shore of Oʻahu.

On the day of the event, the ʻĀINA Farm Stand is offering participants $1 off popsicle purchases! This card is valid only until 3 PM on July 5th, so be sure to stop by the Backyard Garden after the cleanup for a refreshing treat.

A HUGE mahalo nui loa to our amazing local North Shore vendors, who are also gifting participants with discounted lunches after the cleanup! You’ll find the Plastic Free Lunch Card attached below—each participant will receive a physical copy on the day of the event.*

We are proud to announce our partnership with the Surfrider Foundation in becoming an Ocean Friendly Restaurant (OFR). As an Ocean Friendly Restaurant, Rajanee Thai Haleiwa is a recognized leader in the community through our dedication to reducing plastic pollution and prioritizing sustainability practices. At the same time, we are educating our customers on the threats our ocean faces and how we can all change our behaviors to reduce our plastic footprint. Every restaurant and every customer matters. The larger we grow our network of Ocean Friendly leaders, the more mainstream the concept of plastic-free becomes.

Calling on all our friends and family! Let’s spread a little love and aloha for the Keiki in our community. @nsnewshaleiwa and @rajaneethai_haleiwa are partnering together to help get our Keiki excited and prepared for the school year. We’ll be collecting donations of school supplies, backpacks and love through July 22nd.
